Thomas is Tarakasura? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Proselytizers who plagiarize Hindu icons to represent Christian figures, are depicting Thomas as Muruga-Karthikeya, wearing bhasma tripundara and holding a lance/spear-Vel, to confuse and convert naive Hindus. But consider this, Christian myth holds that Jesus was wounded by the lance of Longinus and another lie that Thomas was as well, speared to death in Mylapore, Chennai. And Hindu legends hold that Skanda-Karthikeya, used the Vel-lance given by Jaganmatha Parvathi, to destroy asuras like Tarakasura. If I accept the nonsense about Thomas in Southern India, then I could also say Thomas was Tarakasura. And it is funny to be see Thomas the Tarakasura, being depicted like Muruga, holding the very weapon that killed him. Christian mythmaking is rife with such contradictions. As they say, spinning one lie to cover another and it is a whole nest of lies. In South America they tell the natives that St. Thomas worked among them and then say the same thing in South India. I guess that is why Columbus smartly called any non-Christians, he stumbled upon as "Indians", so the same lie can be stretched to either place. Reminds me of the famous "Vazhai pazham" joke.
